Nicolas-Jay
Nicolas-Jay was founded by celebrated Burgundian winemaker Jean-Nicolas Méo of Domaine Méo-Camuzet in Burgundy and renowned music and media entrepreneur Jay Boberg. This winery is dedicated to producing Pinot Noir from various appellations in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, with an eye towards the old-world craft taught to Jean-Nicolas by Henri Jayer.
The flagship wine from Nicolas-Jay is the L'Ensemble Pinot Noir. Fruit is sourced from several of the finest vineyards in the Willamette Valley, ensuring optimal blending potential and representation of the diversity of Pinot Noir in the appellation. The L'Ensemble Pinot Noir opens up with luxurious layers of blackberry and raspberry jam, underscored by rich tannins. Beneath the bright expression of fruit lies sophisticated notes of fresh loamy soil, black tea, dried cherries and the sweetness of fresh herbs.
Rooted in Oregon by Associate Winemaker Tracy Kendall, Nicolas-Jay is led by a steadfast belief in true artisanship, a passion for discovery and a deep respect for the land. They bring Burgundian traditions to winemaking while aiming to express the natural elegance of Oregon’s Willamette Valley.

L'Ensemble Pinot Noir
Fresh, refined and textural with sweet black cherry and berry fruits. Great acidity and appropriate tannic structure. It has an Oregon stamp, and old-world sensibility.
-
Affinités Chardonnay
Aged in 100% Neutral French Oak. Lemon verbena, white flowers and citrusy perfume, then swings toward orange zest and Galia melon. Precise and focused. Proper reduction.
-
Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Aromas of wet earth, Earl Grey tea and cocoa nibs. Flavors of pomegranate and red plum skin. It's classic Oregon Pinot Noir but you can see the Méo-Camuzet influence.
